Gates2k6 Wallpapers

I got a feedback on http://gates2k6.com to have wallpapers this time.. so this is what i made...

5 simple steps to fuck ur ipod

1. Place your ipod firmly on the road/path
Get in your car and slowly move back and forth over the ipod
Untill the ipod has a cracked screen and case.

2. Place your ipod firmly on a side/floor and grab a sledge hammer
Hit the ipod bout 5-10 times to totaly fuck the ipod/case/screen up.

3. Grab your ipod and throw it on a mainroad were theres gonna be loads of cars coming
Just sit and wait till bout 20 cars/lorrys/vans has ran over your ipod
Now go and fetch your broken ipod from out of the road.

4. Get some gun powder and put the gun powder in a box then put your ipod in with it.
Do some string that carrys on burning all way to the box.
Light it and wight for the big bang
Then try and find your ipod. Good luck on the search.

5. Get a metal bin and get a fire started. in it and nice big one that will burn for like 5hours
Now slowly put the ipod in the fire.
Leave it in there for 4-5 hours to burn and metal.
Then wait till the fires gone out and totaly cooled down. bout 24hours.
Take your ipod from the fire. and have a nice look at the new style the fire as gave it must warn you it mite look a bit dirty. but its good stuff.

ill never do this kinda shit with my ipod when i have it... me is still looking forward to buy one real soon...

Dejavu?? or something else

Its that same time of the year... An even Semester has come again.. and i feel its slipping out of my hands again. Isnt thats what we all call dejavu??

Now i know what this is all about, Its Gates that has sent me into a trance, and I have lost track of time... The 1st Sessionals are coming and i dont even have all my books... lol.

As last year, this year too I started working on one thing I love the most 'Flash'. Made a presentation for the damn orientation program to enlighten the students about what gates actually is. I think, gates is not just an idealogy... it is a feeling that makes us work so hard for it.
Also as Gaurav and I have worked together, we see a better gates website altogether coming into form.. We planned everything and now what we see is http://gates2k6.com . Its not perfect, but its what we thought...
It looks good, but still under its testing period... Lets see what the future holds for me.. and i hope i dont see all this again

The Symbian World

Last week, i also became a part of the community that i saw, the community of Symbian users.. Long time back, a frend of mine asked me, "Which cell phone would u buy if you were given 15k", and i ansered back "N-Gage QD". He said N-gage QD sucks. I some how convinced him and he bought QD. Then came the big problem infront of us, we had such power in our hands but didnt know how to use it... [ well thats a laugh ] We somehow managed to install some sis files, and thats all the contact i had with symbian.

Last week, the same guy called me up and said N-Gage QD is availabe for < 8k... He said, he was showing me the door and i was the one who had to walk through it...

I took his suggesstion and bought an N-Gage QD. The night i bought it, it was a cellphone, but within 24hrs, i had converted it into a Mini Computer. I was just fascinated by the power of Symbian OS, and was suprised what Nokia has given in the hands of ppl who dont even know how to use this stuff properly..

This feeling, ignited in me to take a step, (a big one i might say) that is to launch a portal just for Symbian users, to make them familier with every bit about their smartphone.

I dont say that i know everything, but i can say i know enough, and as i have heard man is always here to learn new things... so am I.

I am learning new things day by day... I dont know symbian that well but i promise to write a sis file very soon..lol

In the meantime ill work on my portal which is more of a forum...
So feel free to register on http://symworks.xedhost.net

Speech by Thomas Friedman of The New York Times....

"When we were young kids growing up in America, we were told to eat our vegetables
at dinner and not leave them. Mothers said, 'think of the starving children in India
and finish the dinner.' And now I tell my children: 'Finish your maths homework.
Think of the children in Indiawho would make you starve, if you don't.'

Isnt that just the truth about Indians....

Microsoft Looks to Extinguish LAMP

Microsoft engineers have toiled for years to make the company's software industrial strength and worthy of large corporations' dollars.

Now the software giant faces a different challenge: fending off open-source alternatives that are good enough for most jobs. At Microsoft's TechEd customer conference last week, executives spelled out the company's lineup to combat these cut-rate incursions onto its turf.

In particular, the company is focused on improving its alternatives to the so-called LAMP stack, the combination of the Linux operating system, Apache Web server, MySQL database, and scripting languages PHP, Perl or Python. Microsoft's anti-LAMP strategy is to heap features into its low-end products and to build a comprehensive set of tools--spanning development to management--in the hopes of making Windows Server more attractive.

Alonso :: Replacing Schumacher ...???

Fernando Alonso held off a stunning fightback from Michael Schumacher at the San Marino Grand Prix to win his third Formula One race in a row.

Schumacher's Ferrari climbed up from 14th on the grid to push hard for the lead in the closing laps, but the Renault driver just held him off.
Jenson Button, who challenged Alonso early in the race, was third for BAR.

Raikkonen went spinning into the gravel just four kilometres from home after the front-right suspension on his MP4-20 finally collapsed following 15 laps of vicious vibration caused by a flat spotted tyre.
Will Alonso be the next world champion succeding Schumacher... I don't know...

Version X

I recently visited my college's own website, and guess what did i see.. I saw a long url which had a very big directory structure and a folder something GTBIT_version3. I saw the whole site and thought, why not make a design for the site and even name it version X. I started working in fireworks and have a bit in my hands. Comment on this one and we all will see the beta of version X.

The 'Dirty Little Secret' About Longhorn

Developers say there's a dirty little secret about Longhorn that few Softies are discussing publicly: Longhorn won't be based on the .Net Framework. We're still expecting that the .Net Framework will ship with Longhorn – on the CD and/or "in the box" in some way. But the .Net Framework won't be at Longhorn's core, we hear. Instead, the .Net Framework will be the core for a small subset of Longhorn, specifically the Windows API Platform (WAP), which consists primarily of the "Avalon" Windows presentation system and the "Indigo" Windows communications system, our tipsters say.

They say its the future...

The time has come for a new kind of compact car, one that's based on a fresh approach to design and development, delivers the kind of driver and passenger experience that places it in a class of its own and has true worldwide appeal.

The time has come for the Maruti Suzuki Swift. The Swift is more eye-catching, more spacious, more refined, more user-friendly, and a whole lot more enjoyable to drive than anything else in the compact-car category.

I myself believe that its something big which Maruti has launched, but ahh well lets wait cause its real test would be the indian roads.

Maruti Swift

That time of the year.

Around this time of the year, everyone i know is mostly thinking about exams and stuff. Some of the parents come to me consulting. huh. Well, i have also given some xams myself and landed into GTBIT. I gave DCE this year and am waiting for the result. Meanwhile, let us all njoy life to the fullest.

Welcome

Hi everyone. Finally i have started blogging as well. I'll try to keep up.Lets see how long this lasts....
